I realized this week that it has been a long time since I have posted anything "crafty" on Crafty Cristy website. I have been focused on nature study lately.
I have lots of ideas brimming in my mind that I want to complete with my kids, but lately the actual crafting has been more along the lines of pulling out one craft item and letting the kids go to town. Yesterday I pulled out the paints.
Each child worked on projects they had chosen. My son wanted to finish a wooden model airplane he had received for his birthday. He and his father put it together a month ago. But it had never been painted.

My middle daughter bought some plaster ornaments at the clearance sale at Walmart. She painted all of those for her project.

The youngest just wanted to be included, just wanted to paint, so I provided her with paper, a brush, paint and a couple of cover ups for her clothes.

My niece (5 years old) is quite keen on painting. She especially likes to do those plastic sun catcher things. We did a little painting up at my mom's over Christmas. She painted a hippo piggy bank. I did a Jesus fish sun catcher. We had a great time. It looks like your kiddos all did, too.
